Job Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain boilers, air compressors, bag filters, chimney, clean room, and gas-related equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure continuous and efficient production.
- Regularly monitor the performance and parameters of boilers, air compressors, bag filters, chimney, clean room, and gas-related equipment, making adjustments to achieve optimal efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to prevent downtime and equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in boiler, air compressor, bag filter, and gas-related equipment, performing necessary repairs promptly to minimize production disruptions.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Manage boiler water treatment to prevent scale buildup, corrosion, and contamination.
- Record and maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and incidents for regulatory compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate with team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and production requirements for boiler, air compressor, bag filter, and gas-related equipment.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations such as leaks or pressure issues to mitigate hazards and prevent accidents.
- Seek opportunities to improve operations, reduce energy consumption, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors from time to time.
Qualifications
- Education: At least a technical certificate or diploma in Engineering or relevant field.
- Certificate: Possess Grade 2 Certificate of Competency as a Boilerman issued by DOSH.
- Experience: Preferably 2 years in boiler operations and maintenance.
- Capability: Strong technical knowledge of boiler operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety. Experience with air compressors, bag filters, clean rooms, and gas-related equipment is an advantage.
- Skills: Effective problem-solving, analytical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia are compulsory.
