Job summary
A local manufacturing company in Penang is looking for a dedicated supply chain professional to manage vendor relationships and ensure timely deliveries. The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and knowledge of SAP is a plus. Responsibilities include negotiating prices, monitoring shipments, and preparing purchasing reports. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to grow in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required.
- Candidates must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.
Responsibilities
- Follow up closely with supplier on the delivery date.
- Update the delivery date in the system promptly.
- Negotiate the price for existing and new materials.
- Handle all incoming shipments rejected by QA department.
- Monitor and send vendor performance reports to suppliers.

- Handle all incoming shipment which rejected by QA department including indent purchase.
- Follow up with supplier for the replacement quantity with a schedule date including indent purchase.
- Monitor and send vendor performance report / assessment report to supplier for both local & indent purchase.
- Accountable for the preparation, analysis and management of purchasing reports.
- Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary / STPM or Diploma.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of SAP system will be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.
