Job summary
A higher education institution in Selangor is seeking qualified candidates for a teaching position in Computer Science. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Master's degree and demonstrate experience in higher education with a strong emphasis on curriculum development. Responsibilities include conducting classes, maintaining educational standards, and participating in administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum Masters in Computer Science or related field required.
- Experience in higher education and teaching experience essential.
- Ability to develop teaching methodologies and materials using IT.
Responsibilities
- Conduct classes, tutorials, and practical sessions.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning.
- Engage in administrative responsibilities and departmental meetings.
Skills
Education
- Teaching & Learning: Undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practicals; consultation with students, invigilation, marking and assessment.
- Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University’s teaching and learning expectations.
- Administration and Other Activities: Undertake and contribute in administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, participate in committees and working groups within the Department, School and Faculty.
- Candidate must have minimum Masters in Computer Science or related field. PhD candidates are preferred.
- Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills.
- Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning.
