Job summary

Businesslist seeks a commercially driven business development professional to grow our logistics and contract logistics portfolio from Kuala Lumpur and beyond. You will develop relationships with decision-makers, tailor warehousing, distribution and transportation solutions, and lead end-to-end sales cycles, including pricing, proposals, and tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within logistics, contract logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain solutions.
• Experience managing RFQ/RFP processes, commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Strong understanding of 3PL/4PL operations, including warehousing, transportation, fulfilment, and value-added services.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the contract logistics and supply chain solutions space.
• Develop strong relationships with prospective customers and key decision-makers across multiple industries.
• Understand customer supply chain requirements and propose tailored warehousing, distribution, transportation, and value-added logistics solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end sales process, including solution positioning, proposal preparation, pricing strategies, and tender submissions.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts to secure profitable long-term partnerships.
• Achieve sales and revenue targets through new business acquisition and account growth initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to uncover new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and onboarding of new customers.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast business opportunities, and provide regular market updates.
• Drive customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities to expand existing business relationships.
