Job summary

Multimodal Freight Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam seeks a Business Development Manager to drive contract logistics and warehousing sales. You will identify new customers across FMCG, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce and more, while building a robust pipeline through visits, presentations and negotiations.

You will craft warehousing and distribution solutions, prepare quotations and tenders, and collaborate with operations to deliver commercially attractive, feasible offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 – 7 years experience in logistics, warehousing, contract logistics, 3PL, freight forwarding or supply chain
• Minimum 3 years of B2B business development / sales experience
• Proven track record of winning new logistics customers
• Strong understanding of warehouse and contract logistics solutions
• Experience in preparing commercial proposals and tenders
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Commercially and financially minded
• Good network within manufacturing, FMCG, retail, e-commerce, industrial or logistics sectors is highly advantageous
• Willing to travel for customer meetings and business development activities

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for MMF's contract logistics and warehousing business
• Identify and acquire new customers in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, automotive, electronics, industrial and other sectors
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of potential customers
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, site surveys and commercial negotiations
• Develop and sell solutions covering warehousing & storage, inbound/outbound handling, inventory management, pick & pack, cross-docking, value-added services, distribution, transportation, freight forwarding, and rail/intermodal solutions
• Prepare quotations, tenders and commercial proposals
• Work with operations to develop solutions that are both commercially attractive and operationally feasible
• Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and additional logistics services
• Monitor competitors, market pricing and industry opportunities
• Achieve agreed revenue, customer acquisition and profitability targets
