Job summary

CJ Century Logistics Sdn Bhd in Penang invites a driven Sales / Business Development Manager to identify and secure profitable new business and meet department targets. You will develop strategic plans, manage RFQ responses and build strong relationships with customers and prospects in freight forwarding and contract logistics.

The role requires 2–3 years in B2B freight/supply chain sales, a diploma or degree in a relevant field, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in business development or sales in freight forwarding, contract logistics, or supply chain industry.
• Proven track record in hunting and acquiring new clients.
• Knowledge in basic financial analysis.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Good organizing skills and able to work independently.
• Good presentation and prospecting skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business that meets sales targets and KPIs.
• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to meet corporate goals.
• Manage and handle new RFQ requests and ensure timely responses.
• Develop and maintain close relationships with customers and prospects.
• Coordinate with divisions within the group to support projects.
• Negotiate contracts and coordinate related activities to complete projects.
• Cross-sell services within existing customers (airfreight, sea freight, road freight, value-added services, contract logistics).
• Deliver sales presentations to customers and business communities.
• Plan projects with cross-functional teams, including resource allocation, scheduling and quality standards.
