Malaysia's leading bank in Johor Bahru is seeking a Relationship Manager to acquire and develop SME client relationships, focusing on new-to-bank opportunities across financing and deposits.

You will manage and deepen SME relationships, understanding client needs and delivering banking solutions in loans, deposits, FX and more. This role emphasizes strong business development and client acquisition with a client-facing approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience as a Relationship Manager within SME/Business/Corporate Banking or other client-facing banking roles.
• Strong business development and client acquisition capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and business acumen.

An exciting opportunity to join one of Malaysia’s leading banks within its established Business Banking team in Johor Bahru, managing and developing relationships with SME clients.

Salary: Up to RM15,000 basic per month

The role combines new client acquisition, relationship management and business development, providing SME clients with banking solutions across financing, deposits, FX and other relevant banking products.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and develop new SME client relationships, with a strong focus on new-to-bank business and portfolio growth.
• Manage and deepen relationships with SME clients, understanding their business needs and identifying suitable banking solutions.
• Drive business across loans/financing, deposits, FX and other banking products to achieve assigned targets.
• Work closely with internal product and support teams to deliver suitable solutions while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Relationship Manager within SME, Business, Commercial or Corporate Banking, or other related client-facing banking roles.
• Strong business development and client acquisition capabilities, with proven experience in actively sourcing and developing new client relationships.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship management and business acumen, with good understanding of banking products and SME client needs.
