About the role
We are seeking a Site Purchaser to join CHUANGJIN CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Contracts Management division, based in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Site Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in the procurement operations of our construction projects, ensuring that materials, equipment and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This position is integral to maintaining project schedules and budgets, directly supporting the successful delivery of our construction contracts.

Key responsibilities

Source, procure and manage the supply of materials, equipment and services required for on-site construction activities

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and quality products

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies

Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with site teams to ensure materials arrive as required

Track and manage project budgets related to procurement activities, identifying cost-saving opportunities

Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices and delivery documentation

Liaise between site management, contracts teams and suppliers to resolve supply-related issues promptly

Ensure all procurement activities comply with contract terms, regulations and company standards

Support inventory management and minimise wastage on construction sites

What we're looking for

Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and suppliers

Diploma or equivalent qualification in logistics, procurement or construction-related field (preferred)
