About the role

Core Manpower Constructions Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards. This role is critical to the successful delivery of our projects and requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple responsibilities whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety on site.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on-site.

Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within the scheduled timeline.

Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.

Review engineering drawings and resolve technical issuites on-se.

Ensure compliance with CIDB regulations, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.

Attend site meetings and provide technical advice to project stakeholders.

Verify work completed for progress claims and maintain proper site documentation.

What we're looking for

Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related construction discipline

At least 1 year of experience as a site engineer on construction projects

Candidates with less than 1 year of experience or fresh graduates will be considered

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, specifications and quality standards

Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Sound understanding of Malaysian building codes, regulations and safety standards relevant to construction projects

Competence in using site survey equipment and construction management software

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate site documentation and records

Problem-solving ability and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
