Job summary

AZAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a site engineer to supervise and coordinate construction activities at project sites in Malaysia, focusing on adherence to drawings and specifications.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, a civil engineering or construction management background, and the ability to read plans, liaise with contractors, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in construction or site engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, site procedures and technical drawings.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work at construction sites and travel when required.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site workers.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to the agreed schedule.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, plans and technical documents.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure the quality of workmanship meets the required standards.
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress reports, inspection records and other relevant documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues or site problems in coordination with the relevant parties.
• Monitor the use of materials, manpower, equipment and other site resources.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements at the construction site.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and issues.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and other departments regarding site activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
