Job summary

JM0478487-T is seeking a proactive Project / Site Engineer to oversee daily site operations, manage mechanical project execution, ensure safety, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors in Johor Bahru. You will read drawings, prepare BOQ and progress reports; liaise with suppliers for timely material delivery; ensure CIDB safety compliance; and support project meetings and variation orders.

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management and 1–3 years' experience

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in construction, mechanical engineering, or industrial plant environments.
• Fresh graduates with strong site internship welcome.
• CIDB (Green Card) registration preferred.
• Able to read engineering drawings; basic CAD skills.
• Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project / Site Engineer to join our technical team. You will oversee daily site operations, manage mechanical project execution, ensure strict compliance with safety standards, and coordinate seamlessly with clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day site progress, sub-contractors, and direct workforce to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met

Read and interpret structural/piping drawings, prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material submission lists, and daily/weekly progress reports

Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery (e.g., hardware, piping, structural materials) to avoid site delays

Enforce site safety regulations, inspect quality of work, and assist with relevant CIDB / statutory requirements

Attend project meetings, handle site clarifications, and manage variation orders (VOs)

About you

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in construction, mechanical engineering, or industrial plant environments

Fresh graduates with strong site internship experience are welcome to apply

Registered with CIDB (Green Card) is preferred

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and basic CAD software

Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Possess own transportation and willing to be site-based in Johor
