Job summary

Conspec Builders Malaysia is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to source construction materials, negotiate with suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to support project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years of construction procurement experience, with strong negotiation and bilingual English/Malay communication. You will coordinate deliveries, monitor inventory, and collaborate with project teams to optimize cost and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, business, construction management or engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of purchasing experience in construction procurement.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills required.
• Fluent in English and Malay; able to manage multiple priorities; highly organized.

• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

• Work closely with project managers, site teams, logistics, and finance to ensure project execution.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance and develop alternative sourcing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Malay.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport (preferred).
