Job summary

OPT Machine Vision is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive sales of its advanced vision product portfolio in Penang. You will combine technical depth with strategic selling to build a robust pipeline and exceed targets across electronics, automotive, and logistics sectors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least 2 years in technical sales or sales engineering, preferably in machine vision. Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin is a strong plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
Minimum 2 years in technical sales, business development, or sales engineering (machine vision preferred).
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a competitive market.
Fluent in English; Mandarin is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

New Business Development: identify and secure new customers through outreach and industry engagement.
Pipeline Management: build and maintain a strong sales pipeline via prospecting and events.
Sales Cycle Leadership: manage end-to-end process from lead to revenue realization.
Customer Relationship Management: nurture long-term key accounts for repeat business.
Technical Collaboration: work with engineering to design value-driven proposals.
Internal Coordination: align with sales support, marketing, and product teams.
Market Intelligence: provide forecasts and insights to support strategy.
