Job summary

Pentamaster Corporation Berhad in Penang invites a Development Engineer to join the machine vision division. You will design, develop, test, and support automated vision inspection software for automation machines, and help integrate vision systems with hardware.

We seek a degree in CS/Physics/Math/Engineering with strong C++/C#, Computer Vision, OpenCV and Imaging skills; PyTorch/TensorFlow and CUDA knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics/Math or Engineering (Electronics/Mechatronics/Computers/Optics/Photonics)
• Experience in C++/C#, Computer Vision, OpenCV & Imaging
• Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow); GPU/CUDA programming is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support automated vision inspection system for automation machines.
• Develop vision programming to evaluate raw materials for suitability for use.
• Design software for machine vision rejection capabilities.
• Analyze customer requirements and resolve software issues.
• Collect and analyze data to derive cause and effect of manufacturing problems and recommend fixes.
• Debug software bugs and provide solutions to customers.
• Identify and assess risks in vision software development.
• Integrate and configure machine vision hardware such as lighting, cameras, lenses, and optics.
• Collaborate with production team to resolve vision software issues.
