About the role

We are seeking a Senior HR Manager to join our team at our Karangan Kedah location on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Human Resources department, responsible for overseeing and directing HR operations, policies, and initiatives that support our organisational objectives. As Senior HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture, managing talent acquisition and development, and ensuring our company maintains best practices in human resources management. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and policies aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices

Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including job profiling, candidate sourcing, interviewing and onboarding of new employees

Manage employee relations, handling performance management, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in a professional and fair manner

Lead training and development initiatives to build employee capabilities and support career progression

Administer compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements

Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment legislation, labour laws and company policies across all HR functions

Manage HR operations including payroll coordination, leave management and employee records

Conduct regular HR audits and provide recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains

Serve as a strategic business partner to senior management, providing HR insights and supporting decision-making

Foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through initiatives and communications

What We're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior HR management role or equivalent HR responsibility within a commercial organisation

Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations and best practices in HR management

Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR policy development

Strong understanding of compensation and benefits administration

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organisational levels

Proven leadership capability and the ability to manage and mentor HR teams effectively

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications

Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
