About the role We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Public Listed Company. This is a full-time position based in Taman Johor Jaya, Johor. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives that align with our organisational objectives. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a high-performing workforce within our engineering operations, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent whilst fostering a positive workplace culture.
What you'll be doing
Recruiting, selecting, and onboarding qualified candidates for various positions across the organisation
Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with Malaysian employment legislation
Managing employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution
Overseeing compensation and benefits programmes to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction
Conducting training needs assessments and implementing professional development and training programmes
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
Liaising with external stakeholders, including recruitment agencies, labour unions, and government authorities
Supporting executive management with HR-related strategic initiatives and recommendations
Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
Contributing to the creation and maintenance of a positive organisational culture
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sector
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law and labour regulations
Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
Strong organisational and project management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional HR certification (such as CIPD or equivalent) is preferred
Experience with payroll administration is advantageous
