About the role
We are seeking a talented Senior Executive, Human Resources to join our team in Penang on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position that sits at the heart of our HR operations, where you will support the delivery of comprehensive HR solutions to our clients and internal teams. As a Senior Executive, Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, programmes and initiatives whilst contributing to the professional development and engagement of our workforce. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence HR strategy at a growing consultancy whilst building your expertise in generalist HR practices.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practices across the organisation
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including job advertising, candidate screening, interview coordination and new employee orientation
- Manage employee records, documentation and HR databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HR team, including scheduling, correspondence and report preparation
- Support the delivery of employee engagement initiatives, training programmes and development opportunities
- Assist with performance management processes, including appraisal coordination and documentation
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion, supporting resolution of workplace concerns
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements that enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Support compliance with employment legislation and organisational HR policies
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including recruitment agencies and service providers, as required
What we're looking for
- A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2-4 years of experience in an HR role, ideally within a consulting, professional services or corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration and compliance
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a professional and diplomatic approach
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
- A thorough understanding of Malaysian employment law and workplace regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
- A proactive, flexible mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Preferred: Experience in HR consulting or providing HR services to multiple clients
