Job summary

Warisan TC Management Service Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Executive, Technical Support (System Infrastructure) to manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, databases, and system operations.

You will ensure system availability, performance, security, and reliability while providing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in system administration, IT infrastructure support, or related fields.
• Experience in server administration, system security, and infrastructure management is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Azure, CompTIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Server & Database Management: Manage, maintain, and monitor physical and virtual server environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• System Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain system security controls, perform vulnerability management and patch management.
• System Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes; prepare monthly reports.
• Technical Support & Operations: Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents; provide after-hours support for critical incidents.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties assigned by the Company.

Senior Executive, Technical Support (System Infrastructure)

We are seeking a Senior Executive, Technical Support (System Infrastructure) to manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, databases, and system operations. The role is responsible for ensuring system availability, performance, security, and reliability while providing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Server & Database Management

• Manage, maintain, and monitor physical and virtual server environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Perform regular server maintenance, updates, security patches, and system health monitoring.
• Manage database performance, maintenance, backup, and recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot server and database issues to minimize downtime and operational impact.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.

System Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain system security controls to protect IT infrastructure and company data.
• Perform system hardening, vulnerability management, and security patch management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, IT standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support security incident investigation and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage system changes in accordance with established change management procedures.

System Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes.
• Update system documentation following changes, incidents, or upgrades.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and configuration records.
• Prepare monthly server performance and incident reports for management review.

Technical Support & Operations

• Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents through the ticketing system within the agreed SLA.
• Provide technical support for server, database, system, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Perform troubleshooting and coordinate with internal teams or vendors when required.
• Provide after-hours support for critical infrastructure incidents and scheduled maintenance activities.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company from time to time.

Minimum Qualification, Experience & CompetenciesEducation & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in system administration, IT infrastructure support, or related fields.
• Experience in server administration, system security, and infrastructure management is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Azure, CompTIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, operating systems, VPN, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, and IPPBX/VoIP systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, identity and access management, and server security best practices.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
• Experience in database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Ability to perform database optimization through maintenance, indexing, query optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, system hardening, vulnerability management, and patch management.
• Experience with system monitoring tools, log analysis, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
