Jora Malaysia is seeking a System Engineer to implement and maintain enterprise IT systems, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments. You will ensure availability, performance, and security while supporting incident response and disaster recovery.

Implement, administer, monitor, maintain, and support enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.
Manage servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, network services, cloud or hybrid environments, endpoint security controls, and related business applications.
Ensure system availability, performance, security, backup readiness, patch compliance, documentation, and operational support.
Perform troubleshooting, system upgrades, preventive maintenance, capacity monitoring, incident response, change implementation, and technical support.
Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to resolve infrastructure issues and support business requirements.
Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and compliance records in line with security and governance requirements.
The System Engineer is responsible for supporting the organisation’s IT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient system operations. The role covers servers, operating systems, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, patching, security hardening, and infrastructure-related applications. The candidate will provide technical support for incidents, service requests, system changes, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and disaster recovery activities. This position also works with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues, improve system performance, maintain documentation, and support compliance with operational and security policies. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting ability, hands-on infrastructure knowledge, good communication skills, and the discipline to maintain stable production systems in a business-critical environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, data centre operations, cloud operations, or related technical roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, storage, backup, networking fundamentals, monitoring tools, patch management, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is an advantage.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Linux, VMware, AWS, Azure, CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL, or cybersecurity-related certification will be an added advantage.
