Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with knowledge in air conditioning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working with government and private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely submission of tender quotations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with government and semi-government customers.
• Provide product information, pricing, and technical details to sales teams.
• Assist the sales team in generating leads, preparing proposals, and closing deals with technical insights.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations to prospective customers.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards.
• Provide technical support to service during testing and commissioning.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with energy and product quality standards.
• Liaise with local OEM manufacturers on product drawings prior to orders.

Job description

As a Sales and Application Engineer for Air Conditioning, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the successful application of air conditioning systems. You will work closely with government, semi-government sectors, and the private sector to understand their cooling requirements and recommend suitable air conditioning solutions. Your role also involves ensuring regulatory compliance by coordinating with certification bodies. This multifaceted role involves collaborating with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and external partners to ensure efficient supply chain operations while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the timely submission of tender quotations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in government and semi-government sectors

Provide product information, pricing, and technical details to the sales teams

Assist the sales team in generating leads, preparing proposals, and closing deals by offering technical insights and supporting their efforts to meet sales targets

Prepare and deliver product presentations to prospective customers

Ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards

Provide technical support to the Service team during the testing and commissioning of systems

Offer technical support to the sales team and customers on product selection and installation or troubleshooting issues

Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant energy and product quality standards

Liaise with local OEM manufacturers on product drawings before placing orders

About you

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with knowledge in air conditioning

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a positive attitude

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage
