GREE AIR CONDITIONER (M) SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a talented Pre-Sales Engineer to bridge technical HVAC requirements with customer needs. You will support the Sales Team, review project specs, and prepare technical proposals and configurations for tender submissions.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of air conditioning systems, CAD tools and strong communication skills to engage consultants, contractors and clients effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in pre-sales engineering, sales engineering or similar technical sales in HVAC or related sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems and building climate control.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear business propositions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Sales Team, customers, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Review project requirements, drawings, specifications and prepare technical proposals and configurations.
• Prepare equipment schedules, data sheets, and submission materials for tenders.
• Coordinate with consultants, M&E engineers, contractors and customers on HVAC design matters.
• Communicate product knowledge and market insights to support business development and sales activities.

About the role

GREE AIR CONDITIONER (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented Pre-Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based in our Kuala Lumpur office, where you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our innovative air conditioning solutions and our clients' technical requirements. As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to drive sales opportunities forward, ensuring that customers have a clear understanding of how our products can solve their specific needs. This role is fundamental to our sales strategy, enabling us to convert technical inquiries into successful business partnerships.

What you'll be doing

Technical Pre-Sales Support

• Provide technical support to the Sales Team, customers, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable Gree Air-Conditioning Systems and Solutions.
• Conduct product presentations, techinical briefings and solution demonstrations when required.

HVAC System Design & Proposal

• Reivew project requirements, drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Perform basic HVAC system selection, cooling capacity calculation and equipment sizing.
• Prepare technical proposals, equipment selections, system configurations and project submissions.
• Recommend suitable air-conditioning solutions based on project requirements, budget and application.

Tender & Quotation Support

• Assist the Sales Team in preparing quotations, tender submissions and technical proposals.
• Review tender specifications and identify technical requirements, deviations and potential issues.
• Prepare equipment schedules, technical data sheets, compliance documents and other submission materials.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, equipment selection and proposal submission.

Consultant & Project Coordination

• Communicate with consultants, M&E engineers, contractors, developers and customers on technicial matters.
• Attend technicial meetinfs, site meetings and project discussion when required.
• Provide technical clarification and respond to enquiries related to HVAC system design and product specifications.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, sales and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Product & Market Supoort

• Maintain good knowledge of Gree Air Conditioning Products, VRF systems, split units, commercial systems and related HVAC solutions.
• Keep updated on product specifications, industry standards, energy-efficiency requirements and market trends.
• Provide product feendback and technicial information to support business development and sales activities.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

3-5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, sales engineering or a similar technical sales role within the HVAC, air conditioning or related industrial sectors

Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration principles and building climate control solutions

Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling business propositions for clients

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proficiency in using CAD software, technical design tools and Microsoft Office applications

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet sales deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst maintaining independence and self-motivation

Knowledge of Malaysian building regulations, standards and energy efficiency requirements (advantageous)

Professional certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies (advantageous)

Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Malay is desirable
