The role requires a degree in QS or related field and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, with strong contract knowledge and proficiency in QS software and MS Office. This is a full-time, on-site position in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Executive in the construction industry.
• Proven expertise in contract administration, claims management and cost control on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of standard form contracts such as PAM, CIDB and other relevant construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate Bills of Quantities and cost estimates for construction projects at various stages
• Managing project budgets and providing regular cost reporting and forecasting to project management teams
• Negotiating and administering contracts with contractors
• Reviewing and processing variation orders, claims and change requests in a timely and professional manner

• Maintaining comprehensive contract documentation and project financial records
• Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to resolve contractual and commercial matters

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Contract Executive to join VESCOPE SDN. BHD. in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of our construction projects. As Quantity Surveyor/Contract Executive, you will be responsible for managing project costs, contracts, and claims whilst maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. This role is integral to our project delivery, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule whilst maintaining the highest standards of contract management and professional practice.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisational skills

Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications

Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships

Meticulous attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations, standards and industry best practices

Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
