Job summary

Meacs Construction Sdn Bhd in Genting Highlands is seeking a Senior Contract Executive (Quantity Surveyor) to manage commercial and contractual matters across the project lifecycle, from tender to final account.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within construction, with a focus on post-contract administration, valuation, variation claims, and subcontract management. You will work closely with the Project Manager and sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
• Prepare, review and manage progress claims, payment applications, interim certificates and final accounts.
• Carry out and verify quantity take-off, measurement and valuation.
• Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO), additional works and omissions.
• Review subcontractor quotations, claims, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare and maintain proper commercial and contractual documentation and records.
• Review drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities and contract documents.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
• Attend site meetings and conduct site inspections where required.
• Follow up on variation claims, loss and expense and other contractual matters where applicable.
• Assist in tendering, cost estimation and procurement activities when required.
• Provide commercial advice and support to the Project Manager and management team.
• Ensure all claims and submissions are properly supported with relevant drawings, measurements, photographs, site records and other supporting documents.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential commercial risks and cost implications.
• Ensure all commercial activities are carried out in accordance with the contract requirements and company procedures.

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Contact Executive (QS) to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract/tender stage through post-contract administration and final account.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with main contractor / building construction will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of post-contract administration, measurement, valuation, subcontract management and variation claims.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Good analytical, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple commercial matters simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Willing to work in Genting Highlands, travel sites when required.
