KEVO BINA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis based in Kuala Lumpur.

You will oversee cost management, contract administration, and financial control on construction projects to help deliver profitable outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, monitoring expenditures, managing variations and claims, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations while collaborating with project teams, contractors, and clients to maintain project

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification.
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration is essential.
• Strong knowledge of variations, claims, and cost control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor expenditures and track costs against budgets, report variances.
• Manage contract documentation, variations, claims and change orders.
• Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify quantities.
• Prepare interim valuations and payment certificates for contractors.
• Analyse tender documents and cost breakdowns for evaluation.
• Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to optimise costs.
• Maintain records of all project costs, contracts, and transactions.
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and clients to resolve cost issues.
• Prepare final accounts and conduct post-project cost analysis.

KEVO BINA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role based in Kuala Lumpur that plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate cost management, contract administration, and financial control on construction projects. As a Site Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This position is essential to the successful delivery of our construction projects and will work closely with project management teams, contractors, and clients to maintain project profitability and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects
• Monitor project expenditures and track costs against approved budgets, reporting variances and providing recommendations
• Manage contract documentation, including variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring proper procedures are followed
• Conduct regular site inspections and measurements to verify quantities of work completed and materials used
• Prepare interim valuations and payment certificates for contractors based on work progress
• Analyse tender documents and prepare detailed cost breakdowns for project evaluation
• Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to optimise costs whilst maintaining quality standards
• Maintain comprehensive records of all project costs, contracts, and financial transactions
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and clients to resolve cost-related issues and disputes
• Prepare final accounts and conduct post-project cost analysis

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a relevant qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, variations, and claims management procedures
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (Glodon & Autocad) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
