Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of contract administration and procurement procedures.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Excel.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR (PROJECT, CONTRACTS & PROCUREMENT)

About the role:- SERAIYA HILL SDN BHD is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (Project, Contracts & Procurement) to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, contracts, and procurement activities throughout the construction lifecycle. This position is fundamental to ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with contractual obligations. You will work closely with project management, engineering, and procurement teams to optimise value and minimise financial risk across our portfolio of construction projects.

Key responsibilities:-

Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial projections for construction projects from inception through completion

Monitor and control project expenditure, identifying cost variations and implementing corrective measures to maintain budget integrity

Prepare and analyse tender documentation, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions

Evaluate and process contractor claims, variations, and change orders with thorough documentation and justification

Manage procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation of terms, and coordination of material deliveries

Develop and maintain contracts administration procedures, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions

Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify work progress and validate claims for payment

Prepare progress reports, cost analyses, and financial forecasts for project stakeholders and management

Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to resolve cost-related issues and disputes

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and financial records

What we're looking for:-

Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline from an accredited institution

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry

Proven expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial planning for construction projects

Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement procedures, and construction law

Proficiency in quantity surveying software and project management tools

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

Experience in managing variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes

Understanding of Malaysia construction standards, regulations, and industry best practices
