Job summary

VESCOPE SDN. BHD. in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, seeks a Quantity Surveyor/Contract Executive to manage project costs, contracts and claims. You will support tendering, budgeting and commercial decisions across multiple projects, ensuring timely, compliant outcomes.

The role requires a degree in QS or related field and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, with strong contract knowledge and proficiency in QS software and MS Office. This is a full-time, on-site position in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Executive in the construction industry.
• Proven expertise in contract administration, claims management and cost control on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of standard form contracts such as PAM, CIDB and other relevant construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate Bills of Quantities and cost estimates for construction projects at various stages
• Managing project budgets and providing regular cost reporting and forecasting to project management teams
• Negotiating and administering contracts with contractors
• Reviewing and processing variation orders, claims and change requests in a timely and professional manner
• Conducting tender evaluations and preparing tender recommendations
• Providing commercial and contractual advice to project teams and senior management
• Preparing and managing cash flow projections and payment certificates
• Maintaining comprehensive contract documentation and project financial records
• Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to resolve contractual and commercial matters
• Ensuring compliance with relevant construction industry standards and contractual obligations
