Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a qualified QA professional to ensure all products meet customer requirements and specifications, and to lead improvement plans for the quality assurance process. You will monitor material conformance, handle customer complaints, control non-conforming goods, and support new product development with cross‑functional teams.

A strong background in plastics, SPC and QC tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in a related field.
• 3–5 years of QA experience in plastic manufacturing.
• Proficient with QC measuring tools and SPC.
• Experience with ISO 22000, EMS and OHSAS management is advantageous.
• Familiar with plastic packaging products and injection molding is a plus.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills suitable for directing, training and motivating staff.
• Computer literate and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products comply with customer requirements and specifications.
• Set improvement plans for overall QA activities.
• Monitor conformance of supplied materials to specification.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure corrective actions are effective.
• Control non-conforming goods.
• Involve in new product development and CAPA with related departments.
• Monitor conformance of new products to customer specifications.
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Carry out relevant chemical and microbiological tests as scheduled.
• Prepare compliance letters upon customer requests.
• Ensure all approved samples are properly kept.
• Monitor and report QA performance with root-cause analysis.
• Responsible for yearly mock recall exercise.
• Other minor or ad-hoc activities as required.

• a) Responsible to ensure that all products are compliance with customer’s requirement and product specification.
• b) Set improvement plan for overall quality assurance activities.
• c) Monitor conformance of supplied materials to specification.
• d) Handle customer complaint and ensure the correction action are done effectively.
• e) Control of non-conformance goods.
• f) Involve in new product development, corrective and preventive action with related department.
• h) Monitor conformance of new product to customer specification.
• i) Ensure all testing equipment’s are properly protected and maintenance and carry internal and external calibration activity.
• j) Ensure the relevant chemical and microbiological tests are carry out according to schedule.
• k) Prepare the relevant compliance letter upon customer request.
• l) Ensure all approved samples are kept properly.
• m) To monitor and report the performance on quality to the department head with analysis of the source of contributing factors on the achievement or failure.
• n) Responsible for yearly mock recall exercise.
• o) Other minor or ad-hoc activity or function.

Job Requirements:

• a) Diploma or above in related field. or /and
• b) Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in QA department of plastic manufacturing.
• c) Good in using QC measuring tools and SPC
• d) Experience in ISO 22000, EMS & OHSAS Management System will be an added advantage.
• e) Familiar with plastic packaging products and injection molding processes is an added advantage.
• f) Leadership style and interpersonal skills suitable for directing, training and motivating subordinate staff.
• g) Computer literate and able to work under pressure.
