Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced QA Manager from the plastic bag/packing sector to lead audits and uphold product quality across the manufacturing process.
You will coordinate IC S, SMETA, BRC, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits, drive QMS improvements, and work with HODs to close non-conformities.
This role requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to specifications, and the ability to respond to customer and regulatory demands promptly.

Candidates from Plastic Bag / Packing Industry is preferred with minimum 5 Years of Experience as Managerial role in QA department
Lead and coordinate audits such as IC S, SMETA, BRC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable customer or industry standards, certification audits, social compliance audits, ethical audits, and other third-party assessments.
Lead and continuously improve the (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC Global Packaging Standard, customer-specific requirements, and other applicable quality, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Act as the primary QA contact, Coordinate with relevant HODs to address audit findings, develop corrective action plans, monitor implementation, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
Ensure all products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, particularly in terms of weight specifications, dimensional requirements, negative tolerance, appearance, strength, and other agreed product specifications.
Administer and maintain all management systems and certifications implemented within the organization and provide guidance on additional standards required to support business growth and continual improvement.
Establish and monitor quality control procedures across the manufacturing process, including raw materials, extrusion, printing, bag making/conversion, packing, and finished products.
Conduct and oversee daily production and machine inspections to identify quality risks, process deviations, and potential product defects and ensure consistent product quality.
Monitor quality performance through inspection, testing, sampling and analysis of quality data, and implement corrective and preventive actions where required.
Handle customer complaints, respond promptly within 48 hours and implement effective corrective actions.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, Sales, and other HODs to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Develop and implement quality and technical training programs covering Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, quality inspection and testing procedures, product specifications, customer requirements, New Product Introduction (NPI), awareness for employees to strengthen quality culture and ensure compliance
Control all quality and management system related documents according to established procedures, including document registration, master list maintenance, overseeing the change control process
Ensure proper maintenance, organisation, availability, records, including laboratory test reports, inspection records, product certificates, licenses, calibration records, audit reports, CAPA records, and customer complaint records.
Coordinate with external laboratories for quotations, testing arrangements, purchase requests, test-report follow-up, and payment coordination. Support suppliers with technical/ethical audits and provide recommendations for closure and continual improvement.
Prepare the organization for audits by ensuring that required documents, records, procedures, production areas, employee awareness, and compliance requirements are in place.
Maintain an audit calendar, audit reports, corrective action records, and compliance status and provide regular updates to senior management.
Host and coordinate customer visits, factory inspections, quality discussions, product reviews, and technical meetings.
Ensure timely preparation, review, approval, and release of Product Specification Forms, NPI documents, internal specifications, inspection standards, and quality requirements; support artwork control, supplier approval, and related change-control processes.
Support new product development and commercialization by establishing appropriate quality standards, inspection criteria, testing requirements, and process controls.
Lead root-cause analysis, CAPA, corrective actions, and preventive actions to reduce defects, customer complaints, waste, and quality-related costs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product consistency, process capability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
