Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to monitor and maintain the QA system across dimensional, appearance, functional and reliability standards. You will prepare CoCs, handle QNNs and manage non-conformances with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or plastics engineering and at least 3 years’ injection moulding and assembly experience. You will coordinate CAPA meetings and drive supplier quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Injection Moulding and Assembly Process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the Quality Assurance System, covering dimensional, appearance, functional and reliability requirements.
• Prepare inspection check sheets and Certificate of Conformance (CoC) for production parts.
• Handle and follow up on Quality Notification Notes (QNN), non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Coordinate corrective actions, sorting and rework activities with relevant departments and suppliers.
• Conduct CAPA meetings and prepare customer responses, including 8D reports.
• Track and follow up on improvement actions to ensure timely closure.
• Monitor supplier performance and prepare supplier quality performance reports.
• Plan and conduct product and process audits.
• Initiate and coordinate quality improvement programmes with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain QA documentation, procedures, inspection standards and quality records.
• Provide technical guidance and support to QA Supervisors, Technicians and QA Leaders.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Support the General Manager in quality management initiatives and process improvement.
• Supervise departmental activities and provide recommendations on employee performance and departmental matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of:

• ISO 8015:2011 – Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS)
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good technical and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of plastic materials and their properties.
• Knowledge of new product development.
• Ability to develop product test plans for testing and reliability inspection.
