Pastry World Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Control professional to inspect raw materials, packaging, and documentation, ensuring conformance to ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and Halal requirements. The role supports cross-functional teams, investigations, and audit readiness.
You will maintain QC records, participate in root cause analyses, and help implement corrective actions in a fast-paced production facility in Shah Alam.
Assist in inspecting incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other production-related materials according to approved specifications.
Inspect and verify material condition, identification, quantity, batch/lot number, expiry date, packaging integrity, and relevant documentation.
Conduct basic checks on raw materials as instructed by the QC Supervisor.
Identify and report damaged, contaminated, expired, or non-conforming materials.
Ensure non-conforming materials are properly identified, segregated, and controlled.
Ensure daily activities are performed in accordance with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, food safety procedures, and company SOPs.
Ensure proper hygiene practices are maintained throughout production areas.
Monitor compliance with personal hygiene requirements and appropriate PPE usage.
Identify potential sources of physical, chemical, biological, and allergen contamination.
Immediately report any food safety concern or significant deviation to the QC Supervisor.
Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to food safety findings.
Support investigations into quality issues and participate in root cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, Halal, and food safety requirements.
Maintain accurate and complete QC records for inspections, sampling, testing, monitoring, and verification activities.
Record quality deviations, non-conformities, corrective actions, and follow-up activities accurately.
Support preparation for ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, HALAL, customer, internal, and external audits.
Ensure relevant QC records are complete, accurate, and readily available for audit review.
Assist in providing quality records and supporting documents requested by auditors.
Participate in internal inspection and audit activities when assigned.
Support implementation of corrective actions arising from audit findings.
Maintain awareness of applicable food safety and quality requirements.
Work closely with Production, Warehouse, R&D, Maintenance, PPC, Procurement, and QAQC teams on quality-related matters.
Communicate quality concerns promptly and clearly to the relevant department.
Support production teams in understanding and complying with quality and food safety requirements.
Assist in investigating production-related quality issues.
Provide timely feedback on inspection and testing results.
Maintain professional communication while ensuring quality requirements are not compromised.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the QC laboratory, inspection areas, sampling equipment, and workstations.
Ensure sampling tools and testing equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
Report damaged or unsuitable QC equipment to the QC Supervisor.
Support GMP inspections and hygiene monitoring activities within production areas.
Support implementation of the company's allergen control programme.
Ensure appropriate segregation and identification of allergen and non-allergen materials and products.
Verify production and cleaning practices to minimise the risk of allergen cross-contact.
Assist in checking product labels and declarations for applicable allergen information.
Report any suspected allergen cross-contamination or labelling discrepancy immediately.
Maintain appropriate records related to allergen monitoring and verification activities.
Assist in preparing sample for customer sensory and reference purpose.
Maintain the cleanliness of QC sample storage area.
Ensure stock control for samples is accurate and updated.
