Job summary

Plato Chemical (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA/QC professional to assist in inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality standards. The role involves recording results, reporting non-conformities, and working with Production to resolve quality issues.

The candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Quality Management or Engineering, with 1–2 years in QA/QC in manufacturing, and a strong eye for detail. Overtime may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products according to established quality standards and procedures.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet specified requirements.
• Record inspection results accurately and report any non-conformities to the QC HOD or relevant department.
• Work closely with Production and Packing teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Assist in maintaining accurate QC records, inspection reports, and other quality-related documentation.
• Follow up on corrective actions for quality issues and assist in verifying their effectiveness.

Job description

Assist in conducting inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products according to established quality standards and procedures.

Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet specified requirements.

Assist in checking product quality, packing condition, labels, accessories, and customer-specific requirements.

Record inspection results accurately and report any non-conformities to the QC HOD or relevant department.

Work closely with Production and Packing teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

Assist in segregating and identifying rejected, defective, or non-conforming products.

Ensure inspection tools and measuring equipment are properly maintained and available for use.

Assist in maintaining accurate QC records, inspection reports, and other quality-related documentation.

Follow up on corrective actions for quality issues and assist in verifying their effectiveness.

Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and good housekeeping within the inspection and QC areas.

Assist in implement, maintain and improve ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)

Follow company quality, safety, and compliance procedures at all times.

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in QA/QC within a manufacturing or production environment.

Knowledge ofISO 9001and other quality systems is an advantage.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.

Able to read and understand drawings, specifications, inspection standard and customer requirement

Good attention to detail with strong focus on product quality

Willing to work overtimes when required
