Job summary

Adept Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our team in Selangor. This full-time role supports construction and engineering projects and handles on-site administrative procurement activities.

Responsibilities include sourcing materials, reviewing MROs, negotiating with suppliers, managing POs, and maintaining stock records. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in purchasing in a related field and strong negotiation abilities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building with suppliers.

Adept Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team in Selangor. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting our construction and engineering projects, ensuring seamless administrative operations on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of raw materials, components and equipment required for construction and operations
• Review approved Material Requisitions Order (MRO) submitted by project sites and verify that all required information, specifications, quantities, and approvals are complete prior to processing
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules
• Manage purchase orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet project deadlines
• Maintain accurate inventory records and generate reports on stock levels and purchasing activity
• Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

About you

• Minimum 1-2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a construction or engineering environment
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build effective relationship with suppliers
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail to manage multiple task and deadlines
• A team player with the ability to work collaboratively across different functions
• Good analytical and problem solving-skills to identify and resolve procurement issues
