Accesstech Engineering Pte Ltd in Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented Procurement Executive to manage end-to-end purchasing with strong cost consciousness. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in SCM or related field and at least 3 years’ procurement experience.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Procurement Executive to manage and execute purchasing activities with strong cost consciousness and control. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, a solid understanding of procurement processes, and an established local supplier network.
This role is critical in ensuring all purchases are made at the most competitive cost, quality, and timeline, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Execute end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts.
Develop and maintain procurement schedules to align with project and operational timelines.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Continuously monitor and control procurement costs to meet budget targets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Maintain and expand a reliable local and regional supplier network.
Evaluate supplier performance on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery.
Establish long-term, mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and documentation for audit purposes.
Stay updated on market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations.
Recommend alternative materials or sources to improve cost-efficiency.
Work closely with project teams, finance, and operations to align procurement with business needs.
Resolve supplier-related issues promptly to prevent operational delays.
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, MEP.
Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, cost control strategies, and sourcing techniques.
Proven track record in negotiating and securing competitive pricing and terms.
Established local supplier network with the ability to develop new vendor relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software/ERP systems.
Excellent communication skills in English and Malay.
High integrity, attention to detail, and strong sense of accountability.
Additional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or engineering (especially in equipment) will be an advantage.
Knowledge of shipping and logistics processes is highly desirable.
