Job summary

WINSTAR ALUMINIUM MANUFACTURING SDN BHD is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage outside purchases and components for manufacturing, ensuring alignment with specifications and approved suppliers.

You will analyze price trends, negotiate with suppliers, monitor stock levels, process orders, and maintain purchase records while coordinating with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree and above in related field.
• Minimum 3 years' purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiar with PCS System.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Able to work under strict deadlines.
• Must possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for efficiently purchasing outside products and components for manufacturing and business needs within approved specifications and approved suppliers.
• Compiles and analyzes data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
• Monitors stock movement and stock quantity, replenish order if necessary.
• Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes supplier operations to determine factors affecting prices and lowest cost with quality and timeliness.
• Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains records.
• Closing and sorting purchase orders and invoices, handover to accounts.
• Follow up and ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
• Perform periodic stock check on selected items.
• Maintain up-to-date daily purchase records.
• Develop and maintain systematic filling system.
• Work closely with internal departments to solve issues.
• Maintain good relationship with supplier and co-workers.
• Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Direct Superior.

Job description

Responsible for efficiently purchasing outside products and components for manufacturing and business needs within approved specifications and approved suppliers.

Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.

Monitors stock movement and stock quantity, replenish order if necessary.

Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.

Perform appropriate price and market survey, ensure purchase with the lowest price.

Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.

Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.

Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.

Closing and sorting purchase orders and invoices, handover to account department.

Follow up and ensure timely delivery from suppliers.

Perform periodic stock check on selected items.

Maintain up-to-date daily purchase records.

Develop and maintain systematic filling system.

Work closely with the internal department to solve the issue occurred.

Maintain good relationship with supplier and co-worker.

Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.

Any others Ad-Hoc task(s) that assigned by the Direct Superior.

JOB REQUIREMENT:-

Preferred minimum 3 year working experience as Purchasing Executive, manufacturing background will be an added advantage.

Expert with MS Office, MS Excel, Power Point and others computer software

Familiar with PCS System will be an added advantage

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

A team player with high level of dedication

Ability to work under strict deadlines

Min qualification Diploma / Degree and above

Must posses with own transportation
