Job summary

Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn Bhd in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking an Operations Executive to support the Operations Manager in planning, processing, and monitoring material orders for local operations. The role includes coordinating local shipments, handling local orders, and ensuring clear communication with customers and drives timely delivery.

You will also manage MO records, prepare sales and operational reports, and assist tender quotations to ensure accurate pricing and delivery details.

Job description

This role supports the Operation Manager in planning, processing, and monitoring material orders for local operations, including coordination of local shipments. You will handle local sales orders and walk-in customers, including order processing, delivery coordination, and customer communication.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Operation Manager in planning, processing, and monitoring material orders for local operations, including coordination of local shipments

Handle local sales orders and walk-in customers, including order processing, delivery coordination, and customer communication

Coordinate and manage local deliveries and shipments, including direct liaison with lorry drivers and transporters to ensure timely and accurate delivery

Manage and maintain Manufacturing Orders (MO) and order-related records in the system to ensure accuracy and traceability

Prepare and analyze sales reports, customer order summaries, booking value reports, and operational data for management review

Support internal departments by preparing quotations for local tenders and customer proposals, ensuring accuracy in pricing and delivery details

Monitor and manage inventory levels of materials and finished goods, and liaise with Purchaser on Purchase Orders (PO) to support production and delivery requirements

Initiate and perform regular material stock checks, analyze material consumption trends, and conduct finished goods (FG) stock checks to ensure stock accuracy and support production planning

Coordinate with Production Planner and relevant departments to align production schedules with local delivery timelines

Monitor and evaluate driver performance, including delivery punctuality, safety compliance, documentation accuracy, and customer feedback, and report issues for corrective action

About you

Implement and participate actively in 5S activities for the Department and Organization
