Job summary

Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn Bhd owns a modern Ipoh warehouse where you will assist team leaders and supervisors in daily activities including packing, receiving, storing and distributing goods. You will count, measure, weigh, issue, and requisition items, ensuring accurate stock records and timely shipments.

You will operate forklifts, handle damaged returns, and maintain a safe work environment while following SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Diploma in any field or equivalent.
• Able to read and write basic language.
• Competence in forklift driving skills.
• Basic computer knowledge will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in packing, receiving, storing, and distributing activities for all products.
• Check incoming or outgoing items by counting, measuring, weighing, issuing and requisitioning.
• Maintain stock list and record stock movements; prepare shipments.
• Operate hand truck or forklift to move products to storage areas.
• Identify damaged goods and coordinate with QC before release to logistics.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.

Job description

Assist Team Leader and Supervisor in daily warehouse activities, performing packing, receiving, storing, and distributing activities for all products.

Key responsibilities

Perform packing, receiving, storing, distributing activities for all products

Check incoming or outgoing items by counting, measuring, weighing, issuing and requisitioning

Keep related clerical records, gather, sort packed items for shipment, manually address and affix consignment notes to packages, unpack and store incoming shipments

Identify goods and reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with QC department before releasing products from warehouse to logistics

Operate hand truck or forklift to move and receive products to storage area

Receive damaged or defective goods returns based on SOP

Manage stock control, take measurements and record on stock list

Clean and maintain work area

Follow all safety procedures and regulations and ensure safe work environment

Implement and participate actively in 5S activities for the Department and Organization

About you
