Job summary

Wistron Corporation in Penang seeks an experienced Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional programs from planning through production ramp. You will coordinate with engineering, EPM and factory teams to ensure capacity, quality and on-time delivery while driving cost efficiency.

The role requires 10+ years in ops/engineering/quality, strong process and statistical skills, and fluent Bahasa Melayu and English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for interactions with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in operations, engineering, or quality fields.
• Familiar with production processes and statistical methods.
• PM experience in operations/manufacturing is a plus; PMP is an advantage.
• Strong cross-functional coordination across teams.
• Excellent communication, coordination and leadership abilities.
• Languages required: Bahasa Melayu and English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single communication window with the customer’s OPM.
• Drive ramp readiness with EPM, engineering and factory teams focusing on capacity planning and production scalability.
• Manage production capacity, production plans and on-time delivery to meet forecasts.
• Collaborate with EPM, engineering and factory teams on post-ramp verification and new/2nd source introductions.
• Trace material and production quality, drive ORT progress and resolve quality issues.
• Coordinate internal/external communications, present solutions and risk mitigations to executives.
• Oversee operational priorities, budgeting, resources and cost reduction.
• Ensure operations are measured and continuously improved using KPIs and metrics.

Job Description:

• 1. Be the single communication windows with customer’s OPM.
• 2. Drive ramp readiness with EPM, engineering and factory team with a focus in overall capacity planning, manufacturing process scalability, and bring up plans that include factory space, labor hiring, training, and production lines qualifications.
• 3. Manage production capacity, production plan and delivery to fulfill customer forecast/demands.
• 4. Working with sustaining EPM, engineering team and factory team to handle post ramp engineering verification and implement 2nd sources or new process into production line.
• 5. Tracing material and production quality, driving ORT progress and resolve quality issues.
• 6. Manage all operations-related communications through the internal and external organizations, resolve key issues, and present solutions and risk mitigations to cross-functional executive teams.
• 7. Responsible for driving operational priorities, oversight of the teams’ fiscal planning processes, budget management, resource operations and cost reduction.
• 8. Ensures efficient and effective operations, through measurement and monitoring of success through metrics and KPIs; taking actions for continuous improvement.

Job Requirement:

• 1. At least 10 years experience in Operation / Engineering / Quality field.
• 2. Familiarity with production process, statistical method, and management skill.
• 3. Experience as operation Project Management or manufacturing Project Management is a plus. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an advantage
• 4. Skill of cross function coordination end to end.
• 5. Good communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• 6. Language required : Bahasa Melayu and English.
