Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead import/export processes and cost control. The role oversees freight forwarders, brokers, and transport partners, ensuring compliant documentation and timely clearance across multiple regions.

The candidate will coordinate with sales, warehousing, and finance, and must have extensive experience in electronics industry logistics, with strong trade compliance and cost optimization focus.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Logistics, International Trade, SCM or Business.
• Experience: 8+ years in logistics/import/export; 3+ years in team or supplier management.
• Industry: Electronics manufacturing/ICT with cross-border trade preferred.
• Competencies: Strong trade compliance and freight execution discipline.

Responsibilities

• Establish import/export processes, trade terms, HS codes, and documentation.
• Manage performance of freight forwarders, brokers, transport and warehouse suppliers.
• Support shipping arrangements, cost allocation, and risk transfer under incoterms.
• Monitor freight rates, duties, clearance timelines, and document accuracy.
• Coordinate import/export plans with sales, warehousing, finance, and customers.
• Maintain familiarity with LWM, IOR, COO, FTZ operations and procedures.
• Develop solid relationships with relevant authorities.

Own import/export, customs compliance, freight execution and logistics cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Establish import/export processes, trade terms, HS codes, countries of origin, licenses, customs documents, and record keeping mechanisms.

Manage the performance of freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport companies, express delivery companies, and overseas warehouse/local transportation suppliers.

Support shipping arrangements, cost allocation, and risk transfer under incoterms.

Monitor freight rates, customs duties, customs clearance timelines, abnormal customs detentions, document errors, and transport damage. Familiar with tariff movement and impacts.

Coordinate import/export plans with sales/delivery, warehousing, finance, customers, and suppliers

Familiar with LWM ,IOR, COO, FTZ operations and procedures

Solid relationship with related authority.

Requirements

Education: Degree in Logistics, International Trade, SCM or Business.

Years of Experience: 8+ years of experience in logistics/customs/import and export, 3+ years of experience in team or supplier management.

Industry Background: Experience in electronic manufacturing, ICT, servers, cross-border trade, and bonded/non-bonded operations is preferred.

Competencies: Strong trade compliance and freight execution discipline.

Key Interfaces: Warehouse, Delivery, Finance, Customer, Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker, Sales

Systems: SAP/ERP/MRP; Excel pivot tables/VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; Power BI knowledge; Analyst positions will prioritize candidates with basic SQL skills.
