Job summary

MM Cosmetic is seeking an Officer/Executive for Shipping & Logistics in Johor to manage import/export documentation, coordinate shipments, and liaise with vendors and internal teams. The role focuses on customs compliance and efficient logistics operations within a manufacturing and transport setting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain, strong analytical and communication skills, and 1–3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain import shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, licenses).
• Ensure documents comply with customs regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and forwarders for clearance.
• Track import shipments and update internal teams on status.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines and transporters.
• Monitor vessel schedules, ETAs, delays and cut-off dates.
• Arrange delivery from port/airport to warehouse.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers for timely receipt of documents.
• Communicate with finance for duty payments and invoices.
• Maintain accurate import shipment records and documentation.

Officer / Executive - Shipping & Logistics role focused on import/export and customs operations within manufacturing, transport and logistics. The position involves managing import documentation, coordinating shipping and logistics activities, liaising with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining records and reporting.

Key responsibilities

Prepare, review, and maintain import shipping documents such as Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, and Import Licenses / Permits (if applicable)

Ensure all documents comply with customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies

Coordinate with customs brokers/clearing agents for smooth customs clearance

Track import shipments and update internal teams on shipment status

Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transporters

Monitor vessel schedules, ETAs, delays, and documentation cut-off dates

Arrange delivery of goods from port/airport to warehouse

Liaise with overseas suppliers for timely receipt of correct shipping documents

Communicate with finance/accounts team for duty payments, freight invoices, and reconciliation

Maintain accurate records of import shipments and documentation

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or similar qualification

Computer literate with knowledge in JD Edwards Software (added advantage)

At least 1-3 years working experience (knowledge in Trading is an added advantage)

Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
