Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an IT Support Technician in Penang to install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.

You will provide on-site and remote support, diagnose and repair devices, and help ensure IT security and compliance. The role welcomes candidates with a Diploma or higher in IT and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems
• Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT-related equipment
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to users and clients
• Install and maintain security systems, communication systems, and IT infrastructure
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Ensure all IT installations comply with company safety, quality, and IT standards
• Maintain accurate documentation for all devices, system changes, and support activities
• Assist with basic network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Support Microsoft 365 (M365) user setup, basic administration, and troubleshooting
• Work closely with team members and report issues clearly to supervisors

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in an IT-related field
• Candidates with no prior working experience are encouraged to apply
• At least 1 year of experience in an IT-related field is preferred
• Experience in technical support, operations, field servicing, or manufacturing environments is an advantage
• Exposure to networking environments is preferred
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, electronics, networking, and IT systems
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Team-oriented with a positive and hardworking attitude
