Mexpower sdn bhd in Klang, Selangor, is seeking a skilled IT professional for a full‑time position in the Information Technology department. You will support IT infrastructure, networks, security, software, and end‑user systems, reporting to the Director.
The role requires a Diploma or Degree in IT and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft 365, SQL, CCTV and Windows environments.
1. IT Infrastructure & Network
Maintain and monitor the Company's IT infrastructure, including network, internet connection, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, servers and related equipment.
Monitor system and network performance to ensure reliable and uninterrupted IT operations.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, infrastructure and system‑related issues.
Perform regular preventive maintenance and health checks of IT infrastructure.
Maintain up‑to‑date network diagrams, configurations and infrastructure documentation.
2. Hardware, Software & IT Asset Management
Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.
Install, update and maintain approved software and applications.
Manage software licences and ensure proper use of Company‑licensed software.
Maintain accurate records of IT hardware, software and equipment.
Coordinate repair, replacement and disposal of faulty or obsolete IT equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot the Company's CCTV system, including cameras, recording devices and related software.
Monitor the CCTV system and coordinate with external vendors for repairs or maintenance when required.
3. End‑User IT Support
Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, email and system‑related issues.
Respond to IT support requests and resolve issues within a reasonable timeframe.
Set up IT equipment, user accounts, email accounts, printers and system access for new employees.
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding by setting up, transferring or removing IT access and equipment where required.
Provide basic guidance and training to employees on IT systems, applications and security practices.
4. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Monitor and maintain basic IT security controls, including antivirus, firewall, access control and security updates.
Ensure computers, servers and systems are regularly updated with security patches.
Implement appropriate measures to protect Company systems and data against unauthorised access, malware and other security threats.
Manage user access rights based on authorised requirements.
Escalate suspected cybersecurity incidents to Management or the appointed external IT provider.
5. Backup & System Recovery
Monitor and maintain regular backup procedures for important Company data and systems.
Conduct periodic checks to ensure backups are completed successfully and remain accessible.
Assist with data and system recovery when required.
Maintain appropriate records of backup and recovery activities.
Assist in maintaining IT disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
6. IT Systems & Business Applications
Coordinate with software vendors and service providers to resolve system issues, upgrades and technical requirements.
Support the implementation, migration, integration and upgrading of IT systems.
Assist Management in evaluating and implementing new IT systems and solutions where required.
Liaise with external IT vendors, internet service providers and software providers.
Arrange technical servicing, repairs and maintenance when required.
Monitor IT‑related service contracts, subscriptions, licences and renewal dates.
Obtain quotations and provide recommendations to Management where applicable.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure IT services are delivered according to agreed requirements.
8. IT Policies, Compliance & Documentation
Assist HR and Management in implementing IT‑related policies, procedures and security requirements.
Maintain proper IT documentation, including asset records, licences, system configurations and service records.
Ensure IT practices comply with Company requirements relating to confidentiality, data security and authorised access.
Assist with IT audits, system reviews and compliance requirements when required.
9. General Responsibilities
Attend to urgent IT issues that may affect business operations.
Assist in IT‑related projects, system improvements and technology initiatives assigned by Management.
Maintain strict confidentiality of Company information, systems, and data.

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in IT.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, hardware, software and system troubleshooting.
Experience in Microsoft 365, SQL systems, CCTV system troubleshooting, Windows environment, email systems, and business applications.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, backup, and system recovery.
Able to manage IT issues independently and coordinate with external IT vendors/service providers.
Good problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
