Job summary

Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd (Mayland Group of Companies) is seeking an IT Executive to provide first-level support for end-users, troubleshoot devices, and manage helpdesk requests. The role covers network monitoring, VPN access, and onboarding new staff.

You’ll assist with configuring network gear, maintain security, backups, and DMS projects while travelling to branch offices when required. A Diploma/Degree in IT/CS and 3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking, and IT security.
• Experience with Data/Document Management Systems.
• Experience with Synology NAS, firewalls, and cloud storage solutions is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willing to travel to branch offices, sales galleries, and construction sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support to end-users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, printer and mobile device issues.
• Manage helpdesk requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor and maintain network connectivity across HQ, branches, and VPN links.
• Assist in configuring switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Support remote users with VPN and secure access.
• Assist in new staff onboarding (PC setup, email account creation, access rights).
• Track software licenses, renewals and compliance.
• Perform regular system backups, updates and patching.
• Ensure antivirus, endpoint security and firewall rules are updated.
• Monitor servers, NAS and cloud backup health.
• Support in projects such as network redesign, cybersecurity improvements, and DMS implementation.
• Prepare, maintain and update IT documentation & reporting.

Job description

Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.

Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking (LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN), and IT security.

Experience with Data / Document Management Systems.

Experience with Synology NAS, firewalls, and cloud storage solutions is an added advantage.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Willing to travel to branch offices, sales galleries, and construction sites when required.
