Job summary

G2R Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an IT Assistant Engineer to support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and operations. You will provide technical support to users, manage IT assets, and assist in tender activities.

The role involves maintaining servers, network systems, security solutions, and contributing to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS compliance initiatives. Collaboration with vendors and documentation work are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, NAS, backup and security solutions.
• Ability to document technical work and support IT projects/tender activities.
• Health insurance provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for end-users, including computers, laptops, printers, software, and IT applications.
• Maintain and support IT infrastructure including servers, network systems, firewall, backup solutions, and security systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and monitoring of network and system performance to ensure reliable IT services.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, system implementation, and technical improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, proposals, and assist in tender submission activities.
• Manage IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support.
• Support information security activities, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS compliance and security awareness initiatives.
• Provide technical support for company meetings, events, and audio-visual (AV) requirements.
