Job summary

Kufong Therapy Centre Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is seeking a Human Resources Executive on a full-time basis to drive people operations and ensure a compliant, supportive workplace. You will manage recruitment, records, payroll support and staff development in a healthcare/therapeutic setting.

The role requires strong HR knowledge of Malaysian law, excellent communication, and the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly while supporting organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• HR qualification or CIPD certification or equivalent.
• Experience in HR within healthcare/therapeutic or professional services setting.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle: job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding.
• Administer employee records, contracts, and personnel files in line with data protection laws.
• Help develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate induction and training to integrate new hires.
• Handle employee relations: disciplinary processes, grievances, performance management.
• Assist payroll coordination, benefits administration and leave processes.
• Maintain HR systems and generate analytics for management decisions.
• Support staff engagement activities to foster team culture.
• Liaise with recruitment agencies, training providers and regulatory bodies as required.
• Contribute to workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Executive to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on a fulltime basis. This is a strategic HR role that sits at the heart of our people operations, responsible for supporting the development, management and retention of our talented workforce. As a Human Resources Executive, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a positive workplace culture whilst ensuring compliance with employment regulations and supporting our organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination and onboarding of new employees
• Administer employee records, contracts, and personnel files in accordance with data protection and employment legislation
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practices aligned with organisational values
• Coordinate employee induction and training programmes to ensure new starters are effectively integrated into the team
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievances and performance management support
• Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration and leave management processes
• Maintain accurate HR systems and databases, generating reports and analytics to support strategic HR decisions
• Support the planning and execution of staff engagement activities and initiatives to foster team morale and culture
• Liaise with external parties, including recruitment agencies, training providers and regulatory bodies as required
• Contribute to workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant standards

What we're looking for

• A relevant HR qualification or certification, such as CIPD, or equivalent professional HR credentials
• Proven experience working in an HR function within a healthcare, therapeutic or professional services setting
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations and statutory compliance requirements
• Competency in HR systems and databases, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding and employee relations management
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical and attention to detail capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all levels of the organisation
• Able to communicate in mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and experience in staff engagement, training and development, and workplace culture initiatives
• Prefer female so that’s easier to communicate with female employees in our spa line.
