Job summary

VS Concept Furniture Sdn. Bhd is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function in a manufacturing environment.

You will oversee recruitment, payroll, employee relations, performance management and policy development while ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements. The role requires 5–7 years of HR experience, including supervisory responsibility, with strong leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant HR experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience in manufacturing or labour-intensive industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act 1955 and related labour regulations.
• Practical experience in foreign worker management, payroll administration and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all HR operations including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, performance management and administration.
• Develop, implement, and improve HR policies, SOPs and processes.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
• Manage foreign workers: work permits, accommodation, welfare and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing, attendance, leave, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB contributions.
• Plan and execute recruitment strategies across production and administrative departments.
• Establish and monitor performance evaluations, KPIs and disciplinary procedures.
• Address grievances and industrial relations professionally.
• Develop training programmes and workforce development initiatives.
• Monitor HR budgets, manpower costs, absenteeism and turnover; report HR performance.
• Lead and supervise the HR team to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Collaborate with management to improve productivity and employee engagement.
