This role involves managing payroll operations, employee attendance and records, and foreign worker administration. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and support HR functions across multiple areas.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, including salary calculations, overtime, allowances, deductions and statutory contributions such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS and income tax deductions
- Ensure accurate payroll records and timely salary disbursement
- Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor and manage employee attendance records, leave applications, work schedules and timesheets
- Address attendance-related issues and irregularities
- Generate payroll reports and provide necessary data for audits and management review
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and payroll systems
- Oversee the full spectrum of foreign worker-related matters
- Liaise with and submit required documentation to relevant agencies and local authorities, including KDN, Immigration, JTK and embassies
- Handle foreign worker onboarding arrangements, including airport pick-up, briefing, medical check-up and bank account setup
About you
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- At least 3 years of working experience in payroll, attendance management and/or related field
- Proficiency in payroll software (i-Flexi) is an added advantage
- Familiarity with local labour laws and statutory requirements
- Proficient in MS Office, i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy, confidentiality and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Able to work with minimum supervision in a challenging work environment
