NORTHEAST GROUP BERHAD seeks an HR and Payroll Executive to manage end-to-end payroll for the Group and related companies in Malaysia. You will oversee onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, attendance and leave administration, and HR reporting.
Responsibilities include processing monthly payroll, verifying data, preparing payslips, and maintaining HR documentation in line with statutory requirements. You will support recruitment, policy compliance, and HR investigations as needed.
This role encompasses comprehensive HR and payroll administration responsibilities across the Group and its related companies. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing, employee onboarding and offboarding, employee relations and disciplinary matters, attendance and leave administration, recruitment support, HR policy compliance, and HR reporting.
Key responsibilities
Handle and process monthly payroll for the Group and related companies accurately and within stipulated timelines
Verify attendance, overtime, allowances, incentives, unpaid leave, lateness, deductions and other payroll-related information before processing
Ensure payroll data submitted by departments is complete and accurate
Prepare and maintain payroll reports, summaries and supporting documentation
Process and ensure timely statutory contributions and deductions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and other applicable statutory requirements
Prepare employees' payslips and respond to payroll-related enquiries
Conduct payroll checking and reconciliation to minimise calculation or data-entry errors
Coordinate and conduct the complete employee onboarding process for new employees
Prepare employment documentation including Letter of Offer and other required HR documents
Conduct HR orientation and brief new employees on company policies, Employee Handbook, attendance requirements, leave procedures, benefits and workplace rules
About you
Ability to handle and process monthly payroll accurately and within stipulated timelines
Ability to verify attendance, overtime, allowances, incentives, unpaid leave, lateness and deductions
Knowledge of statutory contributions and deductions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and other applicable statutory requirements
Ability to conduct payroll checking and reconciliation to minimise errors
Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of employees' payroll and personal information
Ability to coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Ability to prepare employment documentation and HR records
Knowledge of employment laws and HR policies
Ability to handle employee misconduct, disciplinary and performance-related matters
Ability to maintain accurate and updated employee information in HR systems
