Job summary

Prescott Hotel Kuala Lumpur-Medan Tuanku is seeking a Front Desk Attendant to greet guests, process check-ins and check-outs, handle cash and payments, and maintain accurate guest profiles in the PMS. You will print and review daily reports, assist guests with inquiries about local attractions and transport, coordinate with other departments, and uphold professional grooming and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel front desk or guest services is preferred.
• Good cash handling and payment processing experience.
• Familiar with PMS or hotel management systems (data entry).
• Excellent phone etiquette and courteous communication.
• Immaculate grooming and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Process guest folios, collect payments and manage cash handling responsibilities.
• Print updated reports (in-house, arrival, departure, and room status).
• Check all unresolved departures and review service requests for arrivals.
• Assist guests with inquiries regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, restaurants or transportation.
• Maintain professional relations with guests and internal departments and ensure courteous service.
• Communicate with guests at all levels and represent the hotel professionally.
• Maintain punctuality and grooming standards; greet guests by name and with a warm smile.
• Anticipate guest needs using Guest Profiles to tailor service.
• Ensure accurate data entry in PMS for guest profiles, room rates, market codes, billing instructions, and payments.
• Ensure cash float is managed per policies and procedures.
• Prepare check-out folios accurately to avoid delays and guest complaints.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required by management.
