Job summary

NOV is seeking an HR Specialist in Malaysia to manage foreign worker documentation, permits and related government requirements, coordinating with Immigration and external agencies to ensure compliance and timely renewals.

You will handle visa applications, renewals, welfare, accident reporting, and repatriation logistics while maintaining accurate records and supporting HR managers on disciplinary matters.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage visa and work permit applications, renewals, and follow-ups with Immigration.
• Coordinate medical appointments (FOMEMA).
• Apply for foreign worker compensation insurance and assist with claims.
• Prepare resignation and exit documents; submit to Immigration and notify JTK of resignations.
• Report foreign worker accidents to JTK within 10 days and assist with insurance claims.
• Prepare contract extension appraisals and renewal documents; discuss renewal decisions with HR Manager.
• Scan and rename passport documents for renewal applications.
• Coordinate worker repatriation and arrange flights from Johor Bahru to KLIA.
• Maintain accurate foreign worker records in hard copy and digital formats.
• Liaise with agents, FWCMS, Immigration, JTK, and KDN on applications and clearances.
• Assist with investigations involving foreign workers as required.
