Job summary

AwanBiru Technology Berhad is seeking a Procurement Executive in Malaysia to manage daily purchasing transactions and PO processing. You will monitor vendor communications and support AP with accurate updates, while maintaining cost logs and documentation in the shared drive.

The role requires a degree in business or related field and 1–2 years in procurement or supply chain. You will work closely with internal teams to meet supply needs and ensure timely payments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day purchasing transactions including PO creation, recording, and filing.
• Ensure PO issuance is processed within the stipulated time.
• Track PO status and communicate with vendors, departments, and Finance for AP.
• Assist in updating project cost logbook and value add logbook.
• Maintain and update documentation in the shared drive.
• Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate supply needs.
• Assist Finance in coordinating and processing payments timely.

Job description

Administer the daily purchasing transactions and deliveries of goods/services to support the needs of Awantec and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate the day-to-day purchasing transactions such as ensuring documents are completed prior to Purchase Order (PO) creation, recording, filing, and all aspects of the purchasing function

Ensure PO issuance is processed within the stipulated time

Assist in tracking the status of PO and maintain close communication with vendors, relevant departments, and Finance to ensure accurate updates for Accounts Payable (AP)

Assist in updating project cost logbook and value add logbook

Maintain and update documentations record in the shared drive

Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate supply needs

Assist the Finance Department in coordinating and processing payments in a timely and accurate manner

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field

1-2 years professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or similar role

Experience or exposure in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain activities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Basic negotiation skills to assist in discussions with vendors

Familiarity with supply chain principles and practices

Understanding of relevant procurement regulations and compliance requirements

Understanding of budgeting related to procurement activities
